Halderman Real Estate Services
Who: Howard and Marie Halderman founded their real estate firm during the height of the Great Depression. Today it is one of the largest family-owned farm management and real estate organizations in the country. It deals primarily in farms with cropland as well as those with recreational or timber components. A majority of the firm’s sales are farm real estate sold via a multi-parcel system managed by an in-house auction team.
Where: Headquartered in Wabash, Indiana, Halderman operates throughout the Midwest.
Why: The company offers both auction and traditional real estate brokerage services, including sales via the auction process and private treaty, acquisition services for buyers, and complete certified appraisal services.
Wow: In October, Halderman successfully auctioned 1,000 acres of farmland in Wabash County, Indiana, for over $7 million. One of the tracts brought a county-high price of $8,876 per acre.
