STABLE AND SECURE
As financial markets continue to seesaw from despondent to delirious, the market for rural land lives up to its reputation a safe haven to preserve and grow wealth.
That’s one of the many takeaways from the Q1 2025 Republic Report, which was recently presented at the JP Morgan Landowner Summit. Since the turn of the century, the S&P 500 has posted seven years of negative returns. Land? In Texas at least, just two years of negative returns out of the last 25, and in both cases the downturn was less than five percent.
Here’s my key takeaway: “Despite the ongoing uncertainty in the financial markets, we continue to view rural land as a stable and secure investment.”
