Fay Ranches Ranch Real Estate
2012 Sales: > $150 Million
Who: Specializes in investment-quality producing ranches with fly-fishing and/or hunting attributes. Ten offices are located in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon, and Idaho. “When we began Fay Ranches over two decades ago, ranches were being sold primarily on their agricultural value,” says Founder Greg Fay. “Depending upon the ranch, we began marketing the quality of the hunting and fishing as much as the agricultural component.” As such the firm was the first to do so.
Wow: Closed more transactions in 2012 than in any previous year, which, for this prolific brokerage, is saying a lot.
Insight: Unlike many firms, Fay reports that 2012 proved to be consistently strong from a sales perspective all throughout the year. Despite a large number of transactions, the firm’s closings were dispersed relatively evenly in each quarter. “We are very hopeful that 2013 proves to be as strong as 2012, with a possible uptick,” Fay says.
Pictured Above: Comprised of 10,605± contiguous deeded acres and 1,465± leased acres, Chimney Rock Ranch in Montana features excellent trout fishing along 5± private miles of Lower Deer Creek.
