Mirr Ranch Group
2012 Sales: $50-$100 Million
Who: Founded by former public lands attorney Ken Mirr. Specializes in income-producing ranches and farms, sporting properties, and conservation properties. Provides extensive experience in matters ranging from water rights and conservation easements to ranch management.
Wow: Mirr Ranch Group sold the 525-acre Mantle Ranch, which is surrounded by the 225,000-acre Dinosaur National Monument. Considered one of the top National Park Service inholdings in Colorado, it was sold to a private party.
Insight: “In 2012, sales of income-generating agricultural properties, along with ranches rich with natural resources, really stabilized the market in the Rocky Mountain West,” observes Ken Mirr. The pure recreational ranch market is still in a recovery mode and most 2012 sales reflect steep discounts.”
