    I think you missed two owners that should be on your list of 100 largest landholders. The Bishop Estate in Hawaii (a large portion of the big island, Hawaii, and a large portion of Oahu) and the Tejon Ranch in California (a publicly listed company)(farming, timber and cattle).

    Thanks for the heads up! Neither of those two amazing properties meet our criteria, however. Although both were privately owned once upon a time, the Bishop Estate hasn’t been family owned since the late 1800s and Tejon is a publicly traded corporation.
