With wind energy projects totaling more than 400 megawatts in Texas and Wyoming, KROENKE RANCHES is rapidly becoming one of America’s largest renewable energy landowners. In addition to progressive energy development, Stan Kroenke has implemented innovative measures to integrate ecological and wildlife enhancement projects into his operating agricultural landscapes. With dedicated in-house stream restoration and wildlife enhancement teams, Kroenke Ranches delivers measurable results through its commitment to thoughtful conservation. Current restoration projects on the BROKEN O RANCH in Montana are focusing on removing fish passage barriers to allow native fish to migrate from the Sun River to spawn on recently restored spring creeks. On the WAGGONER RANCH in Texas, an aggressive brush management initiative has already converted over 100,000 acres of land for quail habitat enhancement. In addition to supporting the resurgence of quail, the resulting return of native grasses and forbs is also creating improved rangeland for cattle. From progressive energy development to creative conservation measures, Kroenke Ranches is achieving synergies that will preserve these iconic landholdings.
