Singleton Family | No. 9

1,110,000 ACRES

Family patriarch HENRY SINGLETON (1916–1999) purchased New Mexico’s historic San Cristobal Ranch in 1986. Located just south of Santa Fe between the Cerrillos Hills, the Jemez Mountains, the Ortiz Mountains, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, it was the first of numerous ranch acquisitions by the cofounder of Teledyne, Inc., including the Aqua Verde, Bar Y, Bigbee/Lobo, Bojax, Latigo, Conchas, Dunlap/Perez, and Trigg. In addition to the family’s New Mexico holdings, the Singletons own ranches in California, including the Peachtree and Top Ranches in Salinas Valley and the River Island Ranch in the foothills of the Sierras.
