Singleton Family
Headquartered at New Mexico’s historic San Cristobal Ranch in the Galisteo Basin south of Santa Fe, the descendants of HENRY SINGLETON (1916–1999) administer the far-flung ranching operation created by the cofounder of Teledyne Inc. In 1986, the 81,000-acre San Cristobal became the electrical engineer’s first ranchland acquisition. During the remainder of his life, Singleton expanded his landholdings by acquiring numerous Spanish land grants, primarily in New Mexico but also in California, where the Singletons own the Peachtree Ranch and the Topo Ranch in the Salinas Valley and the River Island Ranch in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas.
