The multimission BELL 505 is ready for anything from adventure excursions to cosseted corporate travel. The 505’s turboshaft engine’s dual-channel FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) offers enhanced safety and is rated for a maximum cruise speed of 144 mph. Outstanding visibility filled the 505’s 99 cubic-foot cabin with panoramic views of the Berkshires during this year’s Gear Guide photo shoot. While its so called Short Light Single configuration puts the 505 in the company of more lightly equipped aircraft, Bell’s proven track record and state-of-the art avionics ensure the thrill of private air travel is accompanied by peace of mind.
