Methodology
The Land Report’s annual survey of US land brokerages is based on the total value of self-reported 2025 domestic land sales through traditional brokerage. Totals were not independently verified and exclude commercial, industrial, and residential assets, unless those assets were a component of a more valuable land asset. All figures were provided by the respective brokerages from February 2 through February 27, 2026.
2024 Sales: $100M–$250M
Who: A group of brokers and agents who came together to create a client-centered organization that is passionate about the land.
WOW: Sold the 5,474-acre Red Rock Ranch in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
What was your take on 2024? A tough market, but we still outperformed 2023.
How is 2025 shaping up? It is off to a hot start. We are very excited about this year.
2024 Sales: < $50M
Who: We specialize in the acquisition and sale of agricultural properties through private treaty. brokerage and auction as well as commercial. and recreational properties. We also provide guidance regarding tax-deferred exchanges, buyer representation, and. comparative market analysis for property owners.
WOW: Sold 813 acres (658 tillable) in Bennett County, South Dakota, for $3,321 per acre, a 42 percent increase over the previous high-sale mark.
What was your take on 2024? The ag land market exhibited exceptional strength. How is 2025 shaping up? Demand is strong. Inventory is tight.
2024 Sales: $50M–$100M
Who: We specialize in farm and ranch real estate in Nebraska and Northern. Kansas. We combine auction and traditional marketing methods to maximize value.
WOW: Sold Wasson Farms — 1,744 acres of irrigated cropland in Gosper County, Nebraska — at auction in eight tracts to four buyers for $11.5 million.
What was your take on 2024? The Nebraska farm and ranch market remained resilient, with top-quality irrigated cropland commanding strong prices and demand for grassland staying high. Land values continued to hold firm, driven by limited inventory and supported by strong livestock markets.
How is 2025 shaping up? We remain optimistic about the continued demand for agricultural land. We have seen strong interest from buyers with more land coming to market.

WOW: We were involved in several transactions consisting of large combinations of irrigated cropland being purchased by investors for more than $10 million.
What was your take on 2024? Prices were stable and strong. Days on market increased due to elevated interest rates.
How is 2025 shaping up? Despite lower grain prices and higher interest rates, the cattle market continues to experience all-time highs. Long-term optimism from producers and investors is also at all-time-high levels.

Who: A full-service real estate brokerage firm that specializes in farmland, ranchland, and mineral sales throughout Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
What was your take on 2024? Total number of acres sold increased from 2023. Buyers and sellers were diverse and ranged from local operations to wealth-management companies adjusting their portfolios. Interest in all farmland types increased. Ranchland best suited for cow-calf productions also brought record prices.
How is 2025 shaping up? Robust.
