Of the myriad conferences, trade shows, and events I attend each year as the publisher of the Magazine of the American Landowner, one of my favorites is The National Conference of Private Forest Landowners presented by the Forest Landowners Association. This annual conference is a prestigious event that brings together private forest landowners, industry leaders, and consulting foresters from across the country to discuss issues related to private forestland management.

A longtime tradition at the national conference are the lively panel discussions with forest landowners that cover markets, succession, regulatory and policy issues, and everything that helps landowners better manage, monetize, and enjoy their property. Taking place next month June 24-25 in New Orleans, the event comes with my highest endorsement for anyone interested in land and especially timberland and forests.
