No. 25 Jeff Bezos
290,000 acres
It seems that Amazon’s founder and CEO (pictured above) is ready to take on his next challenge: media boss. In 2013, Bezos paid $250 million to purchase The Washington Post from the Graham family. As a child, Bezos spent many a summer working on his grandfather’s ranch in South Texas. In 2004, he bought his own ranch in Far West Texas: the 290,000-acre Corn Ranch north of Van Horn. Bezos’s aerospace firm, Blue Origin, utilizes the remote location in its quest to develop reusable space vehicles.
