Sold! Eastern Oklahoma Ranchland Tops $4,000 Per Acre

A 1,703-acre Oklahoma ranch blew through preauction estimates of $2,000 to $3,200 per acre and sold to a single buyer for $7 million ($4,115 per acre). Scott Shuman of Hall and Hall Auctions oversaw the October 18 sale. Owned by the same family since 1907, the well-maintained ranch was offered in 17 tracts that ranged in size from 34 acres to 320 acres and included productive grassland, hay ground, rolling meadows, and covered creek bottoms. In addition to good ground, the property benefited from convenient access to Poteau, Oklahoma (10 miles), and Fort Smith, Arkansas (20 miles).
