Decades of experience as a hotelier and bar consultant
launched Drew into a career as a journalist covering wine,
spirits, travel, and hospitality. As Spirits Editor, Drew
has profiled Sweetens Cove Tennessee Bourbon, Desert Door
sotol, Capital Call Cabernet Sauvignon, and Daou Vineyards,
among others.

In addition to the Magazine of the American Landowner,
Drew’s reporting has been featured in USA Today, Sante
Magazine, and Bourbon & Banter. Since 2018, he has served
as the Assistant Editor for Drinkhacker, an online resource
for wine and spirits reviews and industry news. Drew holds
spirits certifications from the Society of Wine Educators,
the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, and the Stave & Thief
Society. He owns and operates Gay Street Inn, a boutique
hotel in Washington, Virginia.
