Principals and Partners:

Jeff Boswell

Jeff Boswell is a Partner with the Republic Ranches team and has an extensive background in working on rural properties in Texas for over 30 years. He has a degree in Geology from W&L University and an MBA from UT Austin. Jeff currently owns and operates a large duck hunting and bass fishing club, and continues to operate a crawfish farm that previously had farmed both fish and rice. His main passions are working on quail rehabilitation properties, creating wetlands for waterfowl, and creating lakes and building fisheries. Jeff has spent years working on having a good grasp on identifying plant, grass, and bird species as part of his expertise to help clients find the best properties for achieving the goals they set out to find in rural properties in Texas. In addition to selling farm and ranch properties in Texas, Jeff also has extensive experience in developing wetlands, quail rehabilitation on lands in the Gulf Coast and South Texas, pond and lake building and fish stocking, and experience as a landowner in farming and ranching.

Jeff is a member of TWA, the Quail Coalition, Ducks Unlimited and is a life member of the NRA.

Charles Davidson

Charles Davidson is a Partner with the Republic Ranches team. He is a fourth-generation Texan, active and passionate about rural Texas and the outdoor pursuits. Charles received a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington & Lee University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

He owns and operates a ranch in Real County. Charles has hands-on experience buying and selling ranch properties and interests as a principal, in addition to overseeing the nationwide operating commercial realty portfolio for his previous employer.

He is a Director Emeritus and Executive Committee Member of the Texas Wildlife Association, as well as a Past President, a Trustee of the TWA Foundation and a past member of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s White-tailed Deer Advisory Committee. Charles also serves on the Advisory Board of the Borderlands Research Institute at Sul Ross State University and is a member of the board of the Texas Agricultural Land Trust. He is also a member of the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

He resides in San Antonio with his wife and three children. Charles is fluent in Spanish. Charles is licensed in Texas and New Mexico.

Mark Matthews

Mark Matthews is a Partner with the Republic Ranches team. In addition to selling farm and ranch property, he is a co-owner in a wildlife consulting business, Cuerno Grande. He has over 25 years of experience in developing, managing, and owning ranch properties. He has a degree in marketing from the University of Texas, and a Masters in Wildlife Management from Texas A&M University. He lives in Hondo with his wife and four daughters.

Mark is licensed in Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Bryan Pickens

Bryan Pickens is a Partner with the Republic Ranches team. Bryan is a sixth-generation native Texan with strong ties to the community, is an avid sportsman and a ranch owner in Henderson County, and strongly encourages sportsmen, families, and kids to spend time doing absolutely anything outdoors. He has a degree from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.  He is an expert in the ranch, farm, and rural real estate market in part through his sales experience that includes natural resource and wildlife management, timber production, and mineral and aggregate exploration. Additionally, through his brokerage work with pre-development properties and his active involvement in several professional networking associations, he has excellent national connections with capital groups seeking large land investment opportunities – and with the print media leaders that specialize in covering this market.  Bryan has recently served on the board of Heritage Land Bank, part of the National Farm Credit System, and is a regular host of formal business forums for high net worth individuals and capital groups regarding market trends and rural real estate interests. He has previously served on the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation Board of Trustees, on the advisory board of the Texas Wildlife Association Foundation, and is an Eagle Scout.  He resides in Dallas with his wife and four daughters.

John Wallace

John has lived in Corpus Christi all his life and has been blessed to experience the South Texas outdoors since he was born. He grew up hunting from Brownsville to Victoria to Leakey to Laredo. Hunting and wildlife management were and still are a major part of his life and lifestyle.

John graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in 1986 and has lived in Corpus ever since with his wife and two boys. John has been a part of numerous residential developments in Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, and Portland, and he has helped broker and create several large commercial developments in South Texas. He brokered his first large ranch in 1993 and has been hooked on selling farm and ranch land ever since. With almost 30 years of experience in the South Texas real estate market, John became associated with Republic Ranches in 2015 and became a partner in 2017.

He is a past president of the Corpus Christi National Little League, past Banquet Chairman, and State Board of Gulf Coast Conservation Association (GCCA) now known as (CCA). He is also past president of several men’s organizations in the Corpus area.

John is licensed in Texas.
